“Mary-Lou did a terrific job at assessing the strengths of the home and also did a very good job of presenting the current market, comps, proposed marketing and sales strategy, and did a significantly better job of convincing us to list with her than another broker in the area, so there was no question we knew she was the right choice. The listing and marketing materials were excellent and very much helped in the selling of the home. We had an excellent experience working with Mary-Lou, and she helped guide us through all the many steps needed to successfully access the market conditions, make recommendations on how to best stage and present the home, provide substantial information on sales strategy and pricing, and did a terrific listing presentation. She also did above and beyond in the next steps, including helping us sell furniture, doing open houses, and working with selling brokers, and the home sold very quickly and at a fair price, so we were extremely pleased with great job she did throughout, right through the closing. “Mary-Lou McDonough and her team gave us an honest assessment of what we needed to do to our home to attract the maximum number of buyers. Mary-Lou McDonough also brought a professional, experienced "stager" in to make the house much more attractive to potential buyers. I have never heard of other real estate brokers doing anything like this and to the extent they helped with this. It was like receiving help from an interior decorator. All these things makes Mary-Lou McDonough stand out in my opinion. Mary-Lou McDonough was so knowledgeable about the market in Lexington, always accessible and kept us continually updated on what was going on with the sale of our home which is why I would recommend her. “My experience with listing a home is that it was a gift to the broker; they put data into Realtor/Zillow, had an open house for brokers and maybe one for buyers. After waiting a month or so, maybe a buyer bought or we dropped the price, the home sold and the broker got their commission. Mary-Lou was not that kind of listing agent. She transformed our home from lovely to magnificent with her co-broker, Jacqueline Hawkinson, and her talented stager. She and Jackie put an enormous amount of time getting everything to be perfect. They were the best listing agents that I have ever met. Hands down. We would absolutely work with her again.”

“Mary-Lou was not only very understanding on how stressful it was to get our home ready to sell, she was also aware how stressful selling your home is to your children and pets - and she was so kind and caring not only with our children but also with our dog! Mary-Lou made suggestions on changes/painting a few of the rooms and staging. She even brought in a paint consultant to help with the paint colors. The results were amazing! Mary-Lou showed interest in coming to meet us, go thru our home and then went out of her way to find a "true market" price for our home and she also brought thru several of her associates to be sure her price was accurate.
